Billy DeFrank LGBTQ+ Community Center

Billy DeFrank LGBTQ+ Community Center provides a free space for the LGBTQ+ community to come together. Advocating for self identity and issues affecting community member, the center holds activities that let individuals learn and express themselves.

The DeFrank Center's mission is to “provide community, leadership, advocacy, support, and services to Silicon Valley’s LGBT people and allies.” Since 1981, the non-profit organization has opened in nine counties, providing resources to all ages and backgrounds not available elsewhere. Its more than 90 volunteers provide HIV testing and run a library and art exhibits. (Before visiting, check to see if the center has reopened, as it was closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.)
