The Placer County master gardeners present a free workshop on landscaping to create a fire buffer zone around the house. They'll discuss what the research is saying about the best practices in landscapes to slow the spread of fire while still being able to enjoy a beautiful garden. 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 8, at the Loomis Library.
