The El Dorado County master gardeners' Sherwood Demonstration Garden offers the public a hands-on, interactive experience about research-based, sustainable gardening practices specific to the west slope of El Dorado County, appropriate for all ages and cultures. 9 a.m. to noon, every Friday and Saturday through Oct. 26.
On Sept. 21, a free 3-hour workshop on "Gardening for Pollinators" will be offered during the open garden starting at 9 a.m. Registration requested by not required.
Garden will be closed if forecast of rain is 60% or higher from 9 a.m. - noon, or air quality index reaches 150 or unhealthy levels. No dogs allowed.
