The Demonstration Garden of the Placer County master gardeners will be the site of a Fall Open House on Saturday, Oct. 5, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The master gardener are highlighting California natives for this event. A workshop on seed saving and planting of California native seeds as well as a demonstration of a native container planting will be offered. There will be a giveaway of one completed container planting in a drawing to be held that day. Also on tap: information tables and special children's activities. Miridae mobile nursery will be on site with native plants available for sale. Free admission.
