The mission of the National Alliance on Mental Illness is to help people with a lived experience of mental illness and their families by providing support, education, and advocacy.

The alliance promotes research, works to reduce stigma and discrimination in the community, and seeks to improve services by working with mental health professionals and families.

The National Alliance for Mental Illness will offer its signature class, Family-to-Family, taught by Fred Hjerpe and Victoria Debenham, both El Dorado Hills residents. The free, eight-session program takes place April 19-May 31.
