Big Brother Big Sisters provides children facing adversity with strong, enduring, professionally supported mentorship. The chapter serves Sacramento and Yolo counties, as well as southern Placer County.

The organization believes that all children can achieve success when given the proper tools and resources. Community-based, site-based, and career-connected learning programs help children develop higher aspirations. Volunteer mentors are among the most important resources; they support students in building self-confidence, avoiding risky behaviors, and achieving educational success.
