The Cameron Park Community Services District serves Cameron Park residents and businesses by providing fire and emergency services, recreation programs, park facilities, waste disposal and recycling, and other administration services. The district is supported by a five-member elected board that upholds CSD policy and provides oversight.

Located in the foothills of El Dorado County, on the west slope of the Sierra Nevada along U.S. Highway 50, Cameron Park is home to about 18,000 residents and covers an area of about 8.3 square miles.
