Arts Habitat connects and collaborates with artists and arts organizations in Monterey County to foster a dynamic, growing community, while leading the way to a thriving center for the arts at East Garrison.

Arts Habitat has been promoting artists in Monterey County since 1991 with its work to create an arts district in the planned community of East Garrison. Construction of low-cost, artist live/work spaces is in the development stage, and day-use studio space will be part of an adaptive reuse of this historic district on the former Fort Ord military base in Monterey County.

Arts Habitat creates and presents programs that support the artist community of Monterey County, including the annual Monterey County Artist Studio Tour, taking place in October 2022. Please visit ArtsHabitat.org for details.
