A Truckee resident since 1997, Anna Klovstad said her goal is helping the Town of Truckee use 100 percent renewable energy while also achieving its carbon reduction goals. She also wants to promote the environment, economy, and equity while investing in sustainable tourism. The former construction manager for the Tahoe Truck Unified School District, Klovstad managed the district’s award-winning sustainability program. Klovstad earned her bachelor’s degree in architecture from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. She also holds certificates in construction management, energy management, and project management. She served as Truckee’s mayor in 2021.

Truckee Town Council met on Tuesday, Apr. 22, Earth Day, to discuss the Tahoe Truckee Regional Homeless Action Plan.
The Truckee Town Council met Tuesday, Apr. 8 to discuss polling results for a potential Nov. 2025 revenue measure to fund a new regional library and to review several housing, environmental, and transit initiatives.
Local leaders, community members, and service providers gathered on Thursday, April 3, for a workshop aimed at refining the Draft Tahoe Truckee Regional Homelessness Action Plan—a five-year strategy developed to address and ultimately end homelessness across the region.
On November 5, 2024, Truckee voters approved Measure E, a general tax that will provide funding for essential services such as wildfire preparedness, transit services, environmental protection, and workforce housing.
The Truckee Town Council met on Tuesday, March 25, to discuss the River Revitalization Steering Committee's (R2SC) catalyst projects. Councilmembers Lindsay Romack and Courtney Henderson were absent from the meeting.
