Rick McCarter recently was honored with five certificates of recognition presented by Bryan Ludwig, vice president of the Placer County Veterans Monument, at a Sienna Restaurant luncheon.

The Placer County Office of Education (PCOE) has taken a leadership role in the successful effort to conserve 402 acres of Clover Valley by approving a final $2.37 million investment on March 13, securing the full funding needed for its permanent protection through a conservation easement.

It’s the holiday season once more, and downtown Lincoln will again come alive with a parade and tree lighting.
The thousands of Lincoln and area residents who attend the event will see significant improvements this year. Most importantly, the former one-day event will be split into two distinct programs: the tree-lighting ceremony on Thursday, Dec. 5, and the Hometown Christmas Parade on Saturday, Dec 7.

Voters will decide between four candidates for one open seat on the Lincoln City Council within District 3 on Election Day, Nov. 5.
