The Cordova Community Council was founded in 1959 as an “organization of organizations,” a forum for citizens to meet, dream about the future and plan community celebrations.
Since it was founded in 1959, the Cordova Community Council has served as a meeting place to discuss the future of Rancho Cordova. Its founders believed that every great city has great community organizations. Today, as the Cordova Community Council navigates through its second half century, it remains true to those original goals. Together with the City of Rancho Cordova and its sister organization, the Rancho Cordova Chamber of Commerce, the council has spread its wings to help Rancho Cordova soar.

The 25th annual Community Volunteer Roundup, hosted by the Cordova Community Council, brought together residents to honor those who have selflessly dedicated their time and efforts to improving the Rancho Cordova community.
A record 152 attendees gathered for the first luncheon of the year hosted by the Cordova Community Council and the Rancho Cordova Area Chamber of Commerce on Jan. 24.
