Prospective Council Candidate Workshop
Are you or someone you know interested in running for City Council or curious about the topic? Join the City of Citrus Heights at an upcoming informational workshop to learn more about the elections process and the Council Member role. Led by retiring City Councilmember Jeannie Bruins, potential candidates will hear her experience on what it takes to be an effective City Councilmember, responsibilities, time commitment and more. Additional information will be presented by City Manager Ashley Feeney and staff on city governance, strategic planning, and election requirements and deadlines to effectively prepare potential candidates as they consider elected office.
The workshop will be held Thursday June 30, 2022 6:00pm in Council Chambers at City Hall located at 6360 Fountain Square Drive. Anyone interested in running for office is encouraged to attend (please note this is not a political event and informational only). The candidate filing period is Monday, July 18, 2022 to Friday, August 12, 2022.
