Stretching across some 65 miles west to east, Placer County traverses a diverse range of California landscapes, from the sprawling suburbs of Roseville and Rocklin to the Gold Rush buildings of Auburn and the lakeside views of Kings Beach. Its history is intertwined with the economic forces that created modern-day California: mining, farming, ranching, and rail commerce. The Board of Supervisors generally meets on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at 9 a.m. Board meeting agendas are publicly posted for review on the county website.
The Planning Commission serve as an advisory body on planning and related matters. Meeting agendas are available in advance, and the proceedings are live-streamed. Recordings of previous meetings can be accessed in the archives.
