The mission of the Coalition of Homeless Services Providers (formerly the Homeless Coalition of San Benito County) is to eliminate homelessness in Monterey and San Benito counties by “promoting interagency coordination to develop and sustain a comprehensive system of housing and support services designed to maximize the self-sufficiency of individuals and families.”

Meaning: They partner with other agencies to ensure all services are following federal guidelines, report updated homeless statistics to federal and state governments, and seek funding. The coalition also is the source of the largest collection of information on homeless persons in its Continuum of Care.
