Mark Wright joined the San Benito County Water District Board of Directors after winning the Division 1 seat in the November 2022 election. Wright was born and raised in San Benito County and he has a bachelor of science degree from California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo. His community service has included involvement with the San Benito County Farm Bureau, San Benito County Saddle Horse Show and North County Joint Union School Board. Wright participates in the San Benito County Fair Junior Livestock Auction and is a board member on the San Benito County Land Conservation Act Committee. Wright hopes to work with fellow board members, district staff and the public to expand water storage and help bring additional water to San Benito County through collaboration with local and state agencies.
