Born and raised in Stockton, Michael Blower began his first term representing District 3 on the City Council in January 2023. But this isn’t Blower’s first time as a candidate, or his first time on the council. In 2016, he was appointed to represent District 4 from February to December, but was beaten by Susan Lenz in his bid to stay on the council. Things went easier in his 2022 race to represent District 3, with Blower easily securing victory in the June 2022 primary.

Blower is a past president of the Rotary Club of Stockton and a board member of the California Association of Realtors. He regularly volunteers at the Stockton Emergency Food Bank. While on the council Blower aims to assist homeless populations, keep neighborhoods safe, create better-paying jobs and be fiscally accountable.

Notable quote: “I’m ready to go. I think we have a great Council. I’m so excited to work with Mayor Kevin Lincoln. And I’m so excited to work with City Manager Harry Black. We are all going to work hard for you. We are going to do everything we can to make Stockton a better place.” (Source: Stocktonia)
