MAYOR'S WEBSITE    

Vice Mayor Paul Akinjo has been serving on the Lathrop City Council since 2012. He is originally from Nigeria, and arrived to the United States over 30 years ago. He and his family have been residents of Lathrop for the past 14 years. Prior to moving to Lathrop, he lived in Oakland, where he was a community organizer for affordable housing.


First elected: 2012


Day job: Pastor of Redeemed Christian Church of God, retired from Tri-Valley – San Joaquin Valley Regional Rail Authority


Alma maters: San Francisco State University (bachelor’s degree in industrial arts and technology); Laney College (associate degree in electronics technology)
