The Pismo Beach Planning Commission is one of six advisory boards that provide counsel to the City Council. Its five members are nominated by individual councilmembers and appointed by a majority vote of the council. All commissioners must be Pismo Beach residents and are required to take an oath of office. Commissioners review site plans, make amendments to the Development Code and General Plan, review residential designs, make recommendations on surplus open space sales, and establish design and development standards.
Twice-monthly meetings are open to the public. PDF-format agendas, packets, and reports are available in the Access Pismo public records portal. Televised meetings are rebroadcast on Government Access Channel 20 and can be found in the Planning Commission Video Archive.
Meetings are at 6 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month in the Council Chamber, 760 Mattie Rd.
