Joy M. Doyle’s "Forget Me Not" will be one of the works available at the Kings Beach Art Tour.
It’s a safe bet to say that many of us spent a lot of time stuck inside during 2020—and a good chunk of 2021 as well. On Aug. 7-8, the Kings Beach Art Tour will offer not only a reason to get out of the house, but also an opportunity to freshen up those walls we’ve been staring at.
The event brings together 20 artists showing and selling their work in seven studios clustered around the Kings Beach and Tahoe Vista area. On both Saturday and Sunday, studios will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p,m. Included among the many art forms represented: basketry, fabric art, ceramics, jewelry, paintings, drawings, photography and more. Several artists are showing their work for the first time.
The Kings Beach Art Tour is free and self-guided; visit KBArtTour.com for a map. Most studios are located within a 1.4-mile radius. Attendees must follow current COVID-19 guidelines.
