Angels on Stage

Angels on Stage enhances the lives of children and young adults with special needs by using professional performing arts to teach important skills and break down stereotypes.

This nonprofit organization offers varied leves of involvement for children and young adults with disabilities. Programs include the following:

• Super Stars: Participants build skills through theater-arts workshops and a low-intensity production.
• Shining Stars: In addition to workshops, this program includes a week of tech rehearsals and a professional-grade production.
• Buddy Coaches: These volunteers befriend and support the Angels.
• Leadership Council: Veteran Angels take on leadership roles.
• Rising Stars Community Outreach: Participants spread the work about Angels on Stage, with select individuals chosen for the Illuminators performing group.

Angels on Stage uses theater as a medium to help children and adults with disabilities develop social interaction and personal development skills. More than half of the staff members are equipped with dual backgrounds in theatre and special education, ensuring that the Angels are well supported.
