Greater Opportunities creates opportunities and provides life skills for people with developmental disabilities to live as independently as possible.
Greater Opportunities believes that if there is compassionate support for adults with disabilities—teaching skills of independent living, providing direct assistance, and encouraging engagement in community activities—these individuals will learn how to be self-sufficient. To prove the theory, Greater Opportunities offers care-giving, education, and life skills. Programs includes Day Program, which provide a safe environment for individuals to spend their day; Supported Living Services, which teaches clients about budgeting, cooking, cleaning, etc.; and Independent Living Services, which trains clients how to keep track of appointments and medication. Greater Opportunities also provides information about disability employment issues and increases community awareness of disabilities.
