EcoFarm’s goal is to transform the food system from the ground up by nurturing safe, healthy, just, and ecologically sustainable farms and communities.

The Ecological Farming Association (EcoFarm) is a nonprofit that works to facilitate an exchange of knowledge through educational events. EcoFarm’s ultimate goal is to transform the food system by raising up safe, healthy and sustainable farms and surrounding communities. It was first founded in 1981, and the annual EcoFarm conference is the oldest and largest in organic farming’s West Coast arena. EcoFarm also hosts the Dirt First Conversation Series, the Hoes Down Harvest Festival, and other events.

EcoFarm reaches beyond what one might think an agricultural nonprofit does. The group is active in promoting diversity and equal rights for all through supporting the Black community, offering scholarships, awards, and special events. EcoFarm also features job openings both internally and externally, and also puts on an art event.

By expanding their reach to all of these different demographics and communities, they are making ecologically friendly farming accessible and understood by all.
