VOLUNTEER DONATE
The society’s mission is to preserve the history of the San Lorenzo Valley by exhibiting artifacts at the San Lorenzo Valley Museum, gathering historical information, and providing educational outreach programs.
First established as the Boulder Creek Historical Society in 1976, the group founded the Boulder Creek Museum. In 1999, the society broadened its scope to the history of the entire area and opened the San Lorenzo Valley Museum.
Since then, a new annex has replaced two original buildings for the storage of collections and providing areas for meetings and administration. Among the society’s regular events are historical talks, docent-led museum field trips for local schools, and historic walking tours, as well as participation in the annual San Lorenzo Valley Community Picnic, Children’s Victorian Christmas, and Boulder Creek Art and Wine Festival.
