Like other resource conservation districts around the nation, Santa Cruz County’s RCD works to help land owners, property managers and local residents protect natural resource. Its staff facilitates stewardship projects to address water quality, biodiversity, ecosystem health, and water quantity on private and public lands, and works with the RCS’s Board of Directors. Board meetings are normally held the second Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. and are open to the public. The meeting schedule can be checked on the RCD’s calendar; in addition, agendas and minutes are available online.
