Emails from California Local

I've received two emails from California local encouraging me to participate in this project. However, the emails have no links to this web site, nor anything else, making it impossible to follow up on the action suggestions in the email. I had to search diligently to find the web site.

I found this board totally by accident when I was looking for a local online bulletin board to connect with community when I opened my business in February. I agree the board and the communications are missing some info...online bulletin boards are very important and helpful, particularly when they are aimed at supporting local commerce and supporting community needs and voices. I am happy to participate and offer comments, questions, information, and suggestions.

Hi Michael and welcome aboard. We'll check that out, the emails are loaded with links but maybe only in the HTML version and not the text version....
We definitely want folks to be able to get around easier!

      Nope, I'm wrong, apologies.
There are no links because the URLs are scoped to individual counties or regions, i.e. the community group directory for Sacramento County has a different URL than the directory for Santa Cruz County.

Thanks for bringing this up, Michael. Everything is possible with code, so we'll devote some additional resources to this so the welcome emails will include links relative to the "home" county of the recipient.
