The NAACP Vallejo Branch #1081 was established in 1909, and is active in Vallejo and Benicia in Solano County, and American Canyon, Napa, Saint Helena, and Angwin in Napa County.

The NAACP is one of the oldest civil rights oranizations in the United State. In its fight against racial inequality, it advocates for and is active in the areas of voting rights. criminal justice reform, education equity, economic empowerment and health equity.
