UCP of Sacramento and Northern California is a leading provider of programs and services for children and adults with developmental disabilities.
UCP uses evidence-based practices to help clients and their families gain independence, productivity, and self-esteem. Approximately 54 percent of UCP clients are low or no income. UCP makes it a point to ensure that all clients of every age and income level can learn new skills to better their lives. UCP helps its clients feel connected to a positive community and achieve increased levels of confidence.
UCP was initially established to support clients and families with cerebral palsy. However, it has since evolved to serve clients with a diverse range of disabilities, including a special focus on those who have some form of autism. Today, the breakdown of clients includes approximately:
