EVENT:   Open Garden at Sherwood Demonstration Garden

The El Dorado County master gardeners' Sherwood Demonstration Garden offers the public a hands-on, interactive experience about research-based, sustainable gardening practices specific to the west slope of El Dorado County, appropriate for all ages and cultures. 16 individual demonstrations gardens range from the Shade Garden to the Rock Garden.
Open 9 a.m. to noon, every Friday and Saturday through October. Garden will be closed if forecast of rain is 50% or higher from 9 a.m. - noon, if forecast for 9 a.m. to noon is 95 degrees or higher, or if air quality index reaches 150 or unhealthy levels. No dogs allowed. Parking is $2.
