Sierra Nevada Alliance protects and restores the mountain range’s lands, water, and wildlife by focusing on coordinative effort in environmental changes.
Since 1993, the alliance has been a hub for stewardship of the Sierra Nevada, empowering and collaborating with partners. Its priorities include climate resiliency, forest health, watershed protection, and legislative initiatives. The alliance also operates service programs: the Sierra Nevada AmeriCorps Partnership and the Sierra Corps Forestry Fellowship Program.
The Sierra Nevada Alliance is hosting its biannual conservation conference Nov. 7-8 at Lake Tahoe Community College in South Lake Tahoe. They've titled this year's theme as Strengthening Conservation Impact Through Partnership.
