El Dorado County is now open for business—and pleasure. At last, with the arrival of June 15, establishments can open their doors without the restrictions that have been in place during the pandemic. The area famous for the 1848 discovery that sparked the California Gold Rush has a wealth of art and enteretainment offerings, and the resources below will help mine that cultural gold.
Arts and Culture El Dorado is dedicated to all things cultural in this rural county and is a source of information on gallery exhibits, Poetry Out Loud, play readings, live music, and more.

Everybody’s doing the Placerville Art Walk on the third Saturday of every month. The galleries keep their doors open after hours for music, performing arts, and artists’ receptions.
