The Santa Cruz Art League is a multi-disciplinary art studio located in downtown Santa Cruz that offers both classes and gallery exhibitions.
In 1919, a group of local artists created the Santa Cruz Art League as a way to support local artists and teach the next generation. They are committed to a supportive and encouraging environment for artists, learners, and art patrons from the local community.
Located near downtown Santa Cruz, the art league welcomes more than 30,000 visutors each year to the 12 to 15 exhibitions it puts on annually. Each exhibition features various themes and forms of media. The league also offers art classes seven days per week. The lobby gift shop even features items from local artists.
Outside of the resident art gallery, the Art League is also the facilitator of the Broadway Play House, a black box theater that features young theater students from a neighboring organization.
One of the best parts of the Santa Cruz Art League is that anyone can get involved. Whether you take a class, showcase your masterpieces, or volunteer/help with fundraising, there is a spot for everyone.
