Founded in 1933, this global humanitarian aid, relief and development organization provides emergency aid and long-term assistance to refugees displaced by war, persecution, and/or natural disasters.

The IRC consists of first responders, relief workers, international development experts, health care providers, and educators. Personnel in more than 40 countries and 20 United States cities provide clean water, shelter, health care, education, and empowerment support to refugees. In 2019, the IRC and its international partners supported more than 1,400,000 children with opportunities for education and admitted more then 122,000 children for nutrition treatment and other services.
