Social Services works to improve the quality of life for all Sacramento County residents. The department provides federal, state and local services and programs that safeguard public health and the environment; prevents physical and financial abuse of the vulnerable; and operates employment and safety-net services. Staff at all levels are charged with the responsibility to deliver services with “leadership, compassion, commitment to excellence, and accountability.”
