FACEBOOK YOUTUBE INSTAGRAM LINKEDINSean Loloee first assumed office as city councilmember of District 2 in Sacramento on December 15, 2020, after winning in the November election by 56.3 percent of the vote. District 2 encompasses the neighborhoods of Del Paso Heights, Woodlake, North Sacramento and Robla. A map of District 2 is pictured here.
Councilmember Loloee wants to invest in Sacramento’s neighborhoods—particularly those in his district. In May of 2020, while running for office, Loelee wrote an open letter to the residents of District 2 urging them to oppose a new proposed cannabis ordinance that would add up to 10 more marijuana dispensaries to Del Paso Boulevard.
On his website, he states, “Forcing more drugs, legal or otherwise, into a community that needs diverse job opportunities isn’t equality. ... We must ask the tough question of whether this is what our community needs right now. To me, the answer is ‘no.’ Some people say that more dispensaries means less drug dealers, but in the end, more dispensaries means more drugs in our neighborhoods.”
First elected: November 3, 2020
Alma maters: University of California, Riverside (bachelor’s degree, biology)
Notable quote: “On a daily basis, I have the opportunity to serve many diverse residents who all share the common goal of moving our community forward and making it the economic powerhouse I know it can be. I’ll use my expertise as a business owner to bring innovative solutions to the council chambers and will ensure District 2 is no longer left behind at the dais.” (Source: Loloee’s campaign website)
