The Community Development Department ensures that developments are well-planned, in compliance with local and state codes, and conform to safety standards. The department serve the community in three different divisions: Building & Safety, Code Compliance, and Planning.
The department administers the general plan, development code, and California Environmental Quality Act guidelines, as well as the Town Building Code. The staff provides support to the Town Council and Planning Commission on planning matters. Other responsibilities include the issuance of building permits and conducting inspections.
