Placer County Library provides free and open access to services, programs, and materials that enrich, inform, empower, and entertain. The library's Placer Adult Literacy Services also provides resources to improve reading and writing skills for participating adults. The system has branches in Applegate, Auburn, Colfax, Foresthill, Granite Bay, Kings Beach, Penryn, Rocklin, and Tahoe City. (Hours and services have been limited during the COVID-19 pandemic; some branches have been closed.)
