A fixture on the Board of Supervisors since 1995, Robert Weygandt lives in the foothills of rural Lincoln and represents the western portion of the county, including Lincoln, Sheridan and northern Rocklin. From 1979 to 2004, he was vice president, chief financial officer and part owner of WECO Aerospace Systems, an aircraft repair facility based in Lincoln. His other past experience includes service as a county planning commissioner, member of the county economic development board, and community college instructor. An outdoorsman and self-described “fanatic fly fisherman,” Weygandt is a strong supporter of the Placer County Conservation Program, designed to balance “responsible development with the protection of land, water and open space.”

Notable quote: “I don’t dispute the science. The impression I have, in the end, with Covid-19, is that the spread rate will diminish dramatically because of something. I believe it will be herd immunity. Herd immunity can result from a person’s inherent immunity, continued spread resulting in new immunity and a vaccine or vaccines.” (Source: Gold Country Media)
