FACEBOOKSuzanne Jones was elected to the Placer County Board of Supervisors after defeating an incumbent supervisor in the March 2020 election. Born in Citrus Heights, Jones has lived in Placer County since the 1990s. She has served on a number of county and regional committees, chief among them being her three terms of service on the Placer County Board of Education. She resigned her position just prior to becoming supervisor. Her résumé includes working for the Department of the Army and for Office of the Program Manager in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. She owned a small business in Placer County in the early 1990s and also worked for Sacramento City Unified School District in the legal department. She is a current member of the California State Bar Association.

Placer County District 4 Supervisor Suzanne Jones was chosen by fellow board members to serve as the chair for 2024. District 1 Supervisor Bonnie Gore was named as vice chair.
