County of Santa Cruz Fire Department Advisory Commission

The County Fire Department Advisory Commission protects and promotes the interests of the Fire Department, its career and volunteer fire companies, and the citizens residing within its jurisdiction by advising the fire chief and the board of supervisors on the department’s master plan; methods for improving the cost effectiveness and delivery of fire protection, rescue and emergency medical services programs; the department’s budget; and the changing role or mission of each of the volunteer fire companies.

Supervisors nominate one person from their districts, and the The remaining two members are at-large appointments pulled from the volunteer company officers organization and the Office of Emergency Services.
