The Parks and Recreation Department develops, operates, maintains and rehabilitates the city's 27 neighborhood parks, five mini parks, one community park, three open space sites and 14 recreation facilities. Recreation facilities include the Community Center, Senior Center, Youth Activity Center and Teen Center. The department’s goal is to provide safe, clean and attractive facilities for all ages and abilities. The staff assists the public with facility rentals, community services, cultural programs, special events, and sports opportunities. The Cemetery Division maintains 33,000 interment sites in a public park.
