In addition to advising the City Council in all matters pertaining to city-sponsored public arts programs, the Public Arts Commission seeks to increase awareness of the visual arts, including exhibitions of sculpture, paintings, photography, and video.
As part of the public outdoor sculpture loan program, the commission conducts sculpture searches, evaluates and recommends sculptures, identifies sculpture locations, and works with City staff on placement and maintenance of sculptures. Additionally, the commission promotes artists’ works through media exposure of the city's sculpture program.
Meetings are on the fourth Thursday of the month at 5 p.m.
