<p class="has-drop-cap">A shelter-in-place alert was lifted for the Towne Terrace neighborhood of Los Gatos just before noon today.</p>
<p>Around 11am, the Los-Gatos Monte Sereno Police Department posted on Instagram about police activity in conjunction with the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office.</p>
<p>LGMSPD urged motorists to avoid the University Avenue corridor.</p>
<p>“Shelter in place is lifted and roads are open in the Towne Terrace neighborhood,” a spokesperson posted on Instagram, about 45 minutes later. “There is no public safety risk at this time.”</p>
<p>The agency directed all media requests to the County law enforcement agency.</p>
<p>A Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office official contacted by the Los Gatan said LGMSPD was responsible for handing media around the incident.</p>

<p class="has-drop-cap">The Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Gun Violence Task Force and sheriff’s deputies seized weapons and explosives after a Wednesday raid on a San Jose home.</p>
<p>Christopher Paul Roberts, a 37-year-old resident of the 2200 block of Bailey Avenue, was arrested and charged with, explosive and assault weapon felonies, according to the DA’s Office.</p>
<p>Roberts is set to be arraigned Sept. 6, at 1:30pm.</p>

<p>“Our neighborhoods will not be treated as weapon manufacturing factories or war zones,” District Attorney Jeff Rosen said in a release. “I thank the brave investigators, ATF agents, and deputies who put their lives on the line to make sure these dangerous and illegal weapons don’t make their way into the hands of criminals.”</p>
<p>Prosecutors said the early morning raid led by the DA team turned up:</p>
<ul><li>Pounds of explosive material, ready for manufacturing</li><li>Housings, caps, fuses, and mixing components for explosives</li><li>“Completed” explosives</li><li>Heroin</li><li>Four firearms, including a “ghost gun” assault rifle</li><li>Ammunition</li></ul>
<p>The Santa Clara County Gun Violence Task Force is a special unit made up of investigators, officers and deputies from various departments that work to take weapons out of the hands of the suicidal or mentally ill, felons, and persons subject to protective orders.</p> "Image for display with article titled Explosives, Guns Seized From San Jose Home")
