City of Pismo Beach City Council

The five-member Pismo Beach City Council consists of a mayor and four councilmembers. Each member is selected in at-large races and represents the interests of the city as a whole. The mayor is elected every two years; councilmembers serve four-year terms with staggered elections.

The council meets twice monthly. With a few exceptions specified by state law, all meetings are open to the public. Agendas, videos, and minutes are available in the Agenda Center. Televised meetings are also re-broadcast on Government Access Channel 20.
