Homeless Garden Project provides job training, transitional employment and support services to people who are experiencing homelessness. HGP also offers educational and volunteer opportunities to the broader community.
The project began as a place of “sanctuary, refuge, and meaningful work within the healing space of the organic farm.” Programs, which take place in the 3.5 acre CCOF-certified organic farm, include a Community Supported Agriculture program, a farm stand, and wholesale accounts.
Local organizations like the Center for Farmworker Families and Pajaro Valley Loaves and Fishes try to advocate for farmworker rights and help put food on their tables.
