The organization works hard to feed people in need while also advocating for policies that tackle the root causes of hunger. Second Harvest also provides educational outreach on nutrition.
We inspire and support Santa Cruz County to provide nourishment for all community members.
We nourish Santa Cruz County
Founded in 1972, Second Harvest Food Bank Santa Cruz County was the first food bank in California and is the second oldest in the nation.
A cadre of nonprofit leaders and county officials gathered at Cabrillo College on November 7 to kick off Second Harvest Food Bank’s annual Food and Fund Drive, when that organization takes in the lion’s share of its donation for the year and helps feed the people who need it.
