No trafffic way from Eastside to the Levee

I like to avoid cars as much as possible. From Seabright area I get to Berkeley Way and Branciforte. Linden is a great street to go as an alternative to Branciforte if coming from highway 1 @morrissey area. At Berkeley Way go down the hill. Cross Market Street and Make a right on May Ave. Then a Left on Washburn. There is a signal at Washburn and Ocean; cross Ocean to Kennan. Kennan ends at a gate that is open. Go through the gate and through the residential parking lot to the levee.
This route is all backstreets with rarely a car to encounter.

That's a good way to avoid the Water St/Ocean St intersection. I'll check it out. There's also a path up the levee at the end of Blaine.

Linking that to Melrose through to Trevethan makes a fairly easy route that parallels Soquel and Water. Crossing Morrissey is tricky if you don't want to deal with the chaos at the signals, but I've found that to be no problem as long as you are patient. Most of the time traffic is light and it's easy.

Thanks for the Melrose - Trevethan, Keith. It's been added to the map.

My preferred route from Park way is through Alemena/Fairmount to cross Morrissey at the light there. Then I take Chilverton to Branciforte.
I can see advantages to taking Melrose, too.
