Gary Griggs: Our Ocean Backyard

Gary Griggs is a Distinguished Professor of Earth Sciences at UC Santa Cruz, and has been contributing a column to the Santa Cruz Sentinel every other week for decades titled "Our Ocean Backyard."
These regular columns document the history of Monterey Bay, coastal geology, climate change, the shift to renewable energy and other topics informed by his knowledge and love of the ocean.

All of his columns are archived on a site hosted by the UCSC Seymour Center and are available for downloading and reading for free!
