The Environmental Council of Sacramento works with other member organizations to advocate for sustainable solutions to regional concerns.
The council is an active watchdog of land use issues and transportation project development that operates in accordance with five policy objectives: promoting smart-growth principles, improving air quality and reducing greenhouse gas emissions, establishing a regional conservation strategy, establishishg a sustainable regional water supply, and achieving equity in economic opportunity.
