4-H provides hands-on programs for kids and teens in areas like health, science, agriculture, and civic engagement with guidance from adult mentors. 4-H programs are offered through in-school activities, after-school programs, community clubs, and camps.

The organization started off more than 100 years ago by educating youth about agricultural development on university campuses. With the help of 500,000 volunteers and 3,500 professional care providers, 4-H now reaches nearly 6 million people. Through hands-on learning, 4-H participants gain useful skills they can usse to serve their communities.
