The Child Abuse Prevention Center is a statewide organization combatting child abuse and neglect. The center offers programs to educate parents, community members, and professionals serving children about promoting child safety and well-being.

The Cap Center, as it’s known, was founded in 1977 by the Child Abuse Prevention Council of Sacramento. Since then, it has developed into a blend of agencies that each take a separate approach to child abuse prevention locally and statewide.
